E-COMMERCE ASSOCIATE - Los Angeles, CA

The Position:

We’re looking for an E-Commerce Associate who has the experience to hit the ground running. Do you have excellent communications skills, strong analytical skills and work well with deadlines? If so, we are looking for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor website traffic and customer reviews to gauge responses to site updates.
  • Inspect landing pages, product information, checkout options, and all other pertinent website-related systems to ensure their visual appeal, accuracy, and ease of use.
  • Assisting with decisions about promotions such as discounted offers, and affordable bulk packages.
 
Qualifications:
  • Customer service in apparel experience is a plus.
  • 3-5 years E-Commerce experience required
  • Experience with Shopify, Google docs, EDI.
  • Intermediate Excel skills

 

FABRIC HANDLER - Los Angeles, CA

The Position:

We’re looking for a Fabric Handler who has the experience to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

  • Unloading fabric rolls, verifying delivery paperwork, staging and storing the fabric Inspecting rolls for damages.
  • 3-5 years E-Commerce experience required
  • Conducting inventory.
  • Some fabric knowledge helpful.

 

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an apparel company.
  • Warehouse experience, shipping, receiving, cutting, fabric.
  • Able to read and write, basic math skills required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Forklift experience and certificate a plus.

DESIGN ROOM ASSISTANT - Los Angeles, CA 

The Position:

We’re looking for a Design Room Assistant to help support our Los Angeles-based apparel design team.  

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing fit samples, organizing design room space, labeling fit samples, fabric library upkeep.
  • Keep records as related to updated styles and spec sheets.
  • Generate cost sheets on a seasonal basis.
  • Assist patternmakers and track status of pattern work from start to finish.
  • General design room assistance as needed.

    Qualifications:
  • College degree in the arts preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the fashion-related industry, preferable in women’s fashion.
  • Self-motivated, ability to multi-task, problem solving skills, initiative, drive, creativity, and flexibility are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail & communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

ECOMMERCE PLANNER - Los Angeles, CA

The Position:

We’re looking for an Ecommerce Planner who can manage financial forecasting and analysis for our Ecommerce business. Do you have excellent communications skills, strong analytical skills and work well with deadlines? If so, we are looking for you! This position will report to the Director of Ecommerce and is based in Los Angeles, CA. The Ecommerce Planner is responsible for managing & developing analytic skills and programs to measure and optimize every aspect of Karen Kane’s Ecommerce business. This individual must have strong analytical skills and the ability to perform strategic research in order to manage our business forecasting and reporting activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Ecommerce demand and forecasting for KarenKane.com as well as other drop-ship channels.
  • Support Director of Ecommerce in planning optimal inventory level by month, quarter, and season.
  • Analyze product categories on an on-going basis to ensure all product variables are optimized: sizes, colorways, extended sizes, etc.
  • Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly Demand, Returns, Shipped Sales, Gross Sales, and Net Sales budgets and forecasts for management review.
  • Analyze business needs and trends as well as provide ad hoc analysis.
  • Highlight product opportunities in-season and advocate for product development ideas.
  • Inspect landing pages, product information, checkout options, and all other pertinent website-related systems to ensure their visual appeal, accuracy, and ease of use.
  • Assist with decisions about pricing such as discounted offers, and affordable bulk packages.
  • Monitor backorder levels, pre-order, cancellations and returns.
  • Forecast the impact of promotional activity on business and provide scenarios when needed.
  • Communicate forecasted daily units with Shipping department/distribution center and Marketing to support payroll decisions and future marketing materials.
  • Monitor daily drop ship performance to ensure all orders are flowing properly and each channel has adequate inventory.
  • Provide insight to digital marketing, analytics and merchandising teams based off data.

 

Qualifications:

  • Prior retail and or merchandise planning experience (2-3 years).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity and experience with Key Performance Indicators relevant to Ecommerce and a general understanding of marketing channels.  
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with Shopify, Google docs, EDI.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and advanced Excel skills a must.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT & SAMPLE COORDINATOR - Los Angeles, CA

The Position:

Karen Kane is a well-established apparel brand that has been manufacturing women’s apparel for over 40 years. The brand has had rapid growth on ecommerce in recent years, and continues to have successful long-lasting relationships with major stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s. From its start, the company has remained family-run and privately owned.

We are seeking an entry-level administrative assistant & sample coordinator for general office support. Must be computer-literate, self-motivated, team-oriented, and a quick learner. Previous office and/or apparel experience desired. The successful candidate for this position will be an organized, articulate, detail oriented, resourceful, flexible and a problem solver who takes ownership and responsibility of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Sample coordination - Responsible for the management of samples including ordering, receiving, organizing, distributing, and tracking.
  • Manage requests for samples from business partners and sales representatives; management of check in/check out process according to established guidelines.
  • Monthly inventory and organization of sample closet, including archiving past samples and processing samples for in-house sample sale.
  • Assist in the Factory Outlet with monthly sample sales by interacting with customers, merchandising fixtures, and ringing up sales.  
  • Manage promo requests, gift with purchase requests, and inventory levels of promotional items.  
  • Offer intra-office support for multiple departments.
  • General office administrative assistance as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Adaptable team player who can also work independently with little supervision
  • Background in apparel/accessories highly desirable
  • Must be computer-literate (proficient in Microsoft Office applications: mainly Excel)
  • Familiarity with packing lists highly desirable
  • Retail store knowledge and experience preferred
