Through Longevity

There’s no secret to what sets us apart. In 1979, Lonnie and Karen Kane started their company with one goal: to create the highest quality clothing possible. That has never changed. Most of our clothing is cut and sewn by hand in Los Angeles with the finest fabrics from the United States and around the world.

Our Favorite Fabrics

Made from tree pulp, rayon has many properties similar to cotton and other natural cellulosic fabrics. Rayon adsorbs more moisture than cotton and is soft and comfortable to wear. we love rayon because its drapes well and can be easily dyed in many colors. It does not create static electricity, and pills less easily than many other fibers. Rayon does not insulate body heat, which makes it ideal for warmer weather.

Viscose is a type of rayon that is made from wood pulp. Cellulose pulp from fast-growing eucalyptus and acacia trees makes viscose a great natural alternative to synthetic fibers. Because of its plant-based origin, viscose is also fully biodegradable.

Linen is strong, naturally moth resistant and fully biodegradable. It is made from flax fibers. Flax is an extremely resilient plant that can grow in almost any type of soil, using far less water in its consumption than cotton. Truly versatile, linen is both cool in warm weather and warm in cool weather.

Since it is primarily grown in the United States, cotton has a much shorter distance to travel than other fibers that are grown internationally. Most of the U.S cotton crop is now irrigated exclusively from the rain. For every pound of cotton fiber, roughly 1.6 pounds of other useful products are created, such as cotton seed oil, dairy feed, and mulch.
