SPRING AWAKENING: Karen Kane Hats & Jewelry are Coming

Karen Kane’s first-ever jewelry and headwear collections combine the glamour of cruise with a tribal influence. Both will be available online and in stores in early 2015.  The palette is soft and inviting, full of warm neutral shades accented with silvers, golds, turquoise, and navy. Materials are inspired by nature and the silhouettes are modern, yet feminine. Just like our sportswear, everything is comfortable, with a hint of elegance…always.

Summer 2013  Fashion Sense

Summer is on the brink and Karen Kane has done it yet again. We are bringing the heat with three chic, ready-to-wear collections full of color and personality. It is time to box up that winter gear and revamp your wardrobe with endless amounts of fabulousness.

Starting off, there is the Cross Creek collection screaming “summer vacation!”  This line is bursting with blues, greens and lots of turquoise, perfect for adding that extra splash to your wardrobe. Besides the beautiful colors this collection has incorporated great geometric patterns as well as amazing photorealism prints of beautiful bodies of water on maxi dresses and tunics. Cross Creek is indeed a magnificently tranquil collection.

Second, we have the Melrose collection all about comfort and luxuriousness. This lovely collection features soft pinks, blues and khakis in a wide array of styles perfect for any occasion. Dress it up in the flattering leopard print Sheath Dress or dress it down in the cozy, must have Beverly Print Pant.

For the final group within the Summer 2013 collection is Sunset. It is fully equipped with warm colors and fashionable prints, perfect for mixing and matching and taking you into Fall. This collection provides very attractive styles, perfect for day and night looks. Yellows and charcoals matched with creams and browns, give us the perfect combinations of naturally warm summer colors.

Inspired by the natural beauty of the west and nostalgic notions of times gone by, Karen's Fall Collection has finally arrived. Separated into three capsules, the designs transition you from the waning heat of the Summer sun to the crisp nights of late Autumn.

Her first capsule, Dreamcatcher, takes inspiration from the American Southwest with its powerful energy, dramatic sunsets, and spirit of enchanment. The desert dominates this collection with rich shades of rust, camel, tan and wine running through each uniquely crafted style.

Her second collection, Sequoia, draws on the majestic beauty of the Sequoia trees that dominate some of California's massive forests. Here, shades of brown and green paired against the prints of forest animals create an elegant ensemble with earthy connotations.

The final group, Tahoe, pulls from the brilliant blues of the lake for which it's named, nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevadas. Just as this location is transformed from a Summertime resort to a Winter wonderland, this group is the perfect segway to the rich and glittering designs of the Holiday season.

On Monday, April 2nd, Los Angeles received an official visit from by Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Demetrios Marantis on behalf of the Obama administration's "Made in America" campaign.

One of his first stops was to tour the Karen Kane apparel manufacturing facilities where women's contemporary clothing is produced and shipped all around the country.

The visit was part of an emphasized effort to boost U.S. manufacturing and double U.S. exports by 2014. As part of the campaign, trade officials have been sent around to country in search of strategies to better incentivize American fashion companies to create more jobs at home and to recognize the pitfalls that currently dissuade many from doing so.

Marantis identified L.A. as one of the key players in this intiative.

Karen Kane proudly manufactures 85% of its apparel in Los Angeles, California and prides itself on the quality and sophistication of its design.
