Retail Merchandiser - Seattle, WA

Do you thrive in a retail environment?  We want to meet you!  Karen Kane's exciting retail merchandising program is looking for applicants that are energetic and have a strong passion for fashion. Merchandisers in this program assist Karen Kane's retail sales by working directly with department store personnel, organizing in-store events, helping customers, merchandising new products, providing feedback to our corporate office, developing relationships with buyers/sales executives, and developing strategies to drive sales in new and original ways. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and have strong interpersonal communication skills. Enthusiasm for retail and apparel is a must.


Job Responsibilities:Partnering with our department store retailers on business development at the store level Merchandising new products & seasonal collectionsConducting in-store events and product training seminars Organizing in-store events to drive salesProviding excellent customer service 

Position will include some travel.


Job Experience:Ability to work well independently and within in a groupRetail management or buying experience Excellent communication skills

Pattern Maker - Los Angeles, CA

Pattern maker for our established better sportswear division and emerging contemporary divisions (knits, dresses, woven blouses, jackets, pants -- all women's apparel categories).

Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to details, and must be able to work well in a team setting. Great organization skills, self-motivation, and plenty of energy are essential. Computer literacy is a must, Gerber system a plus.

Bilingual English/Spanish is not required but is a plus.

Must know measurements, how to read spec sheets, construction of garment and sewing.

Associate Designer - Los Angeles, CA

We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Designer.  We are seeking an individual who is creative, experienced, enthusiastic, organized and self-motivated to work with our design team.  You must have a strong sense of urgency and excellent follow-up skills.  Good color sense and detail.  Must be computer literate with proficiency in Excel, Illustrator, PhotoShop and Graphic Design.  Minimum 2 years’ experience.

Accounting Clerk ( Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable) - Los Angeles

Job Description

  • Post incoming payments and collect outstanding debt.

  • Assist in processing orders for shipments.

  • Assist in handling various customer credit issues.

  • Assist on monthly closing and month end reconciliation.

  • Must be able to handle fluctuating volumes of work and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.

  • Data enter invoices for payment.

  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

  • Manage weekly check run.

  • Organize and maintain vendor & customer files.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of all approved invoices

Desired Skills and Experience 
Minimum 2 years experience.  Excellent written and oral communication skills 
Strong MS Office (Word & Excel) experience required 
AS400/VPS knowledge a plus 


Showroom Assistant, NY Showroom - New York

We are looking for an assistant for our New York corporate showroom. Position is full-time and the office schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM. The Karen Kane showroom is located in New York's Fashion District, near Times Square.

Job Responsibilities Include:

- Supporting Sales Account Executives

- Generating selling reports

- Office Administrative Duties

- Organizing samples

- Assisting during market weeks

Desired Skills and Experience

Candidates should be self-motivated, flexible, and independent thinkers. Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. Must be able to multi-task and possess excellent verbal & written communication skills.
