Customer Service - Los Angeles
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answering customer calls and assisting with their needs, data entry, assisting in account reconciliation
Preparing reports, processing new accounts and orders
Composing emails for both internal and external customers
Ensure all customer inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner
Balance workload amongst the customer service team
Work with various departments to improve work efficiency
Sales inquiries, resolving discrepancies, coordinating order process
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Customer Service Representative
Strong written and verbal communication with a high attention to detail and organizational skills
Must have a professional phone voice
Demonstrate effective people skills when dealing with co-workers and customers
Possess accurate typing and 10-key skills
Experience with data entry, proofreading and editing documents
The right candidate must possess strong work ethics, be capable of multi-tasking, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and achieve goals.

Prior experience handling major retailers is a must

E-Commerce Sales Account Executive - Fashion District, New York City
We are looking for a Sales Account Executive to manage its ecommerce site and oversee the sale of its products on retailer websites. This is a great opportunity for a someone who has a strong background in ecommerce or apparel sales and wants the chance to leave their mark on an established business. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in either the wholesale selling and/or buying side for .com/e-commerce apparel business. Candidates without the minimum years of experience will not be considered. Enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit are a big plus as this position has plenty of opportunity to grow within the company. Proficiency in Word and Excel are a must and a fundamental understanding of all levels of retail math is important. Your strengths should include: energetic, independent thinker, able to multitask and work in fast paced environment. Some travel will be required. Position will be based out of Karen Kane's Showroom in New York City, located in the Fashion District.
Retail Merchandiser – Part-time (20-24 hrs wk) - Birmingham, AL & Tampa, FL & Atlanta, GA & New Jersey

Merchandisers in this program assist Karen Kane's retail sales by working directly with department store personnel, organizing in-store events, helping customers, merchandising new products, providing feedback to our corporate office, developing relationships with buyers/sales executives, and developing strategies to drive sales in new and original ways. They ideal candidate should be able to work independently and have strong interpersonal communication skills. Enthusiasm for retail and apparel is a must.

Candidate must have experience operating manual and automatic machines.
Experience mixing colors and working with plastisol, waterbase, discharge.
Able to work with silk fabrics.
Able to make samples by hand as well as working production pieces.
Able to lift/carry 25 lbs.

Minimum 2 years experience.
Sample Sewer - Los Angeles, California
We have immediate Temporary openings for Sample Sewers to sew sample/first garments. Candidate must be able to operate various sewing machines: single needle, overlock and cover stitch, as well as buttons, button holes. Candidate must be able to make complete garments: jackets, tops, pants, dresses. Minimum 2-3 years experience.
Fabric Spreader - Los Angeles, California
Experience working with rayon, denim and silk. Knowledge of "special placement" of fabric required. Must be able to work in a fast paced cutting room. Able to read and write. Able to lift 35-50 lbs. Must be available to work overtime including Saturdays. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Minimum 1 year experience working in a Cutting room.
