Account Executive

Karen Kane, Inc – Greater New York City Area

Job description

· Conduct presentation of seasonal collections to buyers from specialty stores within in the Northeastern United States (territory includes New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, and Massachusetts)

· Present seasonal collections to buyers from international accounts; develop strategy to grow international distribution

· Review inventory with VP of Sales and VP of Operations to develop an off-price selling strategy; this includes developing special products as well as working with key off-price accounts such as Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook, Bloomingdale’s Outlet, Saks Off Fifth, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, MyHabit, etc.

· Develop seasonal sales forecasts and compile weekly booking reports for specialty store business nation-wide

· Manage relationships with key accounts and cultivate new relationships with prospective buyers; resolve any potential issues through excellent communication & customer service

· Represent the brand at local tradeshows such as Moda & Intermezzo

· Some travel required to specific areas within account territory – road trips, regional trade shows (including Las Vegas twice a year)

· Remain current on trends within the greater fashion industry and the Northeast territory specifically

Desired Skills and Experience                                          

· Minimum 5 years of experience as an account executive with a women’s apparel brand

· Must have strong showroom presentation skills

· Ability to work accurately, independently, and efficiently on projects

· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel

· Knowledge of NUOrder or Joor a plus, but not required

· Strong organization & communication skills

· Understanding and appreciation of the Karen Kane brand

Customer Service Representative

 

Some of the Duties and Responsibilities include:  

Answering customer calls and data entry (our phone call volume is moderate)

Preparing reports, processing new accounts and orders

Composing emails

Sales inquiries, resolving discrepancies, coordinating order process 

Work with various departments to improve work efficiency

 

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Customer Service Representative in the apparel industry. 

Strong written and verbal communication with a high attention to detail and organizational skills

Must have a professional phone voice

Possess accurate typing and 10-key skills

Experience with data entry, proofreading and editing documents

The right candidate must possess strong work ethics, be capable of multi-tasking, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and achieve goals 

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Prior experience handling major retailers is a must

Prior AS400 experience a plus
Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced environment
Demonstrate effective people skills 
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, & computer knowledge is required
Knowledge of EDI software a plus

Pattern Maker - Los Angeles

Seeing a pattern maker for our established sportswear division and emerging cocntemprary divisions (knits, dresses, woven blouses, jackets, pants -- all women's apparel categories).

Candidates should possess strong communicatioin skills, attention to details, and must be able to work well in a team setting.

Great organization skills, self-motivation, and plenty of energy are essential. 

Computer literacy is a must, Gerber system a plus.

Bilingual English/Spanish is not required but is a plus.

Customer Service Support - Los Angeles

The ideal candidate will be a dependable, reliable and energetic individual.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Support the customer service department in any and all areas where there is a need.

Data entry, reports, processing accounts and orders

Inquiries, resolving issues, research and follow up

Work with various departments to improve work efficiency
Will answer customer calls

Able to perform basic clerical skills such as filing, scanning, archiving and other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience doing data entry

Customer service experience in apparel industry

Proofreading and editing documents

Strong written and verbal communication with a high attention to detail and organizational skills

Possess accurate typing and 10-key skills
